Privacy policy
The apps vdrLive and vdrLive for TV do not collect personal data. They connect only to the Video Disk Recorder you set up yourself.

2. The apps vdrLive and vdrLive for TV
Connections
The apps connect only to the servers you enter yourself: your VDR via SVDRP, the streamdev-server plugin for video and audio and, if available, the restfulapi plugin for logos and images. These connections run directly between your device and your server. We do not operate any server for the apps; no data from using the apps reaches us.
Data on your device
Server profiles, settings, favorites and playback positions are stored only on your device. Credentials for your server are kept in the device keychain. Deleting the app removes this data.
Local network
To find a VDR, the app asks devices on your local network, with your permission, on the SVDRP ports 6419 and 2001. The result stays on your device. You can revoke the permission in the system settings at any time and enter a server manually instead.
Purchasing vdrLive Pro
Apple processes the in-app purchase vdrLive Pro and the purchase of vdrLive for TV through the App Store. We receive neither your payment details nor your Apple Account or your name. The app checks on the device whether vdrLive Pro is unlocked, using purchase receipts signed by Apple. Apple's privacy policy applies to purchases.
No analytics, no advertising
The apps contain no analytics, advertising or tracking components. If you agreed in the system settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple provides us with aggregated usage figures and crash reports that are not linked to you.
3. This website
Hosting
vdrlive.de is delivered by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you visit it, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data, in particular your IP address, date and time, the requested address and your browser identifier, to deliver the pages and protect them against attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is a secure and reliable operation of the website. A data processing agreement is in place with Cloudflare. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; transfers to the USA are based on the European Commission's adequacy decision.
No cookies, no tracking
The website sets no cookies, uses no analytics services and loads no third-party content, including fonts. Links to the App Store lead to Apple, where Apple's terms apply.
4. Contact by email
If you write to us, we process your email address and the content of your message to answer your request (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). We delete the message once it has been dealt with, unless statutory retention periods apply.
5. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). Please contact us at the address above. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority; the authority responsible for us is the Saxon Data Protection and Transparency Commissioner (Sächsische Datenschutz- und Transparenzbeauftragte).
